Description
Die Klinik und Poliklinik für Neurologie beschäftigt sich mit sämtlichen Erkrankungen des zentralen und peripheren Nervensystems sowie der Muskulatur. Die wichtigsten Krankheitsbilder der Neurologie sind Durchblutungsstörungen des Gehirnes (Schlaganfall), die Multiple Sklerose, so genannte neurodegenerative Erkrankungen wie das Parkinsonsyndrom und Kleinhirnerkrankungen. Darüber hinaus beschäftigt sich die Klinik mit Kopfschmerzen, Schwindel sowie Gedächtnis- und Konzentrationsstörungen. Wir haben einen Schwerpunkt in der Behandlung der Epilepsien, inklusive der Epilepsiechirurgie. Bei der Parkinsonerkrankung wird eine Komplexbehandlung, der Einsatz von modernsten Medikamenten, Pumpen und die tiefe Hirnstimulation angeboten. Auf der Intensivstation werden die schwersterkrankten Patienten mit Hirnblutungen, Hirnhautentzündungen und anderen schweren Erkrankungen des Gehirnes behandelt. Die Klinik besitzt viele Spezialambulanzen, die insbesondere die Krankheitsbilder Durchblutungsstörung des Gehirnes, Multiple Sklerose, amyotrophe Lateralsklerose, Botulinumtoxinambulanz, Parkinsonambulanz, Schlafstörungen (die auch in einem eigenen Schlaflabor untersucht werden können) und vieles mehr beinhalten. Ziel ist es, mit modernsten Methoden die Lebensqualität und Gesundheit der Patienten nachhaltig zu fördern.
