Description of patient organisation
Esophageal atresia (= EA = Oesophageal atresia = Ösophagusatresie) with or without tracheo-esophageal fistula is a rare medical condition and patients with EA must cope with issues that are common to all such conditions. To address these issues, family support groups have been established in different countries during the past thirty years. EAT e.V. is a European federation of family support groups which focus on sharing experiences, disseminating information and raising awareness of the EA condition. INoEA (the International Network on Esophageal Atresia) Steering Committee has agreed to act also as the Medical Advisory Board for EAT.
